Jonna was an angel here on earth and we know she is a beautiful one in heaven. Jonna touched so many lives and continues to do so even now that she is gone. Her legacy will live on through her family and friends. She is soooo deeply missed. We love her and we are so proud of the person she became. She is the GREATEST... We live for the day we can join her in that beautiful place called Heaven. We love you Baby Girl.
Jonna knew that before all things that Christ must come first in her life. She loved everyone. She greeted everyone with that beautiful vibrant smile. Many people's heart was warmed by this smile. This was shown by people the night of her wake. There were 4,000 people there. Her funeral was held in the North Laurel High Gym where approximately 2500 people attended. Jonna spent alot of her time in the gym practicing dance so we thought it would be appropriate to have it there.

In an effort to preserve the precious memory of Jonna and her ability to help others, we are doing a memorial scholarship. This will be an extension of Jonna's life and what she stood for during her amazing, but yet short life; helping others, treating everyone with respect, and mostly just giving love to all she met on her journey through life. In the true giving spirit of Jonna's giving heart; two scholarships will be given, one to a North Laurel senior where she, herself was to graduate this year and another to a South Laurel senior. Jonna has many friends at both schools.

Jonna was born June 18, 1988. She was very little and petite. She weighed 6lbs. 14 oz. She was always a very energetic. She was saying the word uh-oh at 6 months old. She never met a stranger and that followed her through all of her life. She went to East Bernstadt School from K-8th grade. She was a cheerleader 4th- 8th grade. She was always a flyer. She loved to do her basket toss. She made so many friends as a child. She always talked 90 miles an hour. People would crack up because she never stopped talking. But that is why she made so many friends and had such and impact on so many peoples lives. She went to North Laurel High School in 9th grade. She loved high school. She made it for the dance team her first year. She always loved dancing and she gave it her all. Everything she did she gave it 110%. She was very active with her family, church, and school. Her favorite thing to do when she was at home was talk on the phone. Some of the things that stick in my mind is how she would always want us to pick up a pitiful looking person walking on the side of the road. Of course we were afraid but I remember her saying they probably really need help. She just loved people in general, young or old. She always strived to do the right thing. In alot of our conversations she would say "Mom I know the right thing to do". She will always be in our hearts. Her legacy will live on through her family and friends. She made us so very proud.
